Thoughts on the Bricklink Designer Program pre-orders? I set my alarm for the Mountain Fortress and a 3am wake up call but I had no idea trains were so popular. I saw the mushroom house also sold out, keen to hear what people think of the program and the designs generally?

I love them too, if I hadn’t gone so far on the Star Wars I’d seriously consider these as the centrepiece of the collection
Back in the 80's i had heaps of trains , back them it was like a marklin style pickup in the centre of the track. A few time got zapped . But later battery version came out. My cousin had at 1000m of track set up all around outside.
I managed to secure one of the mushroom house. My first time joining the program and wouldn’t have known about it until BrickNews posted about it. I also recently got one of the mushroom hat people from the minifig collection so they will both tie in nicely together!
It looks like an awesome program, I didn't even know about it until it was mentioned here on Brick News. Sad that I currently don't have the funds to pre-order anything. 😢
I still don't completely understand how it works though. If you can't pre-order now can you still buy it later or is it gone forever once sets are sold out? 🤔
I think a lot of the designs are actually awesome. When LEGO designers make sets, they often have to deal with budget constraints which limits the amount of parts they can use. Because the BrickLink Designer Program has a maximum piece limit of 4000 and no budget constraints (as far as we’ve seen) we’re much more likely to get well-rounded sets with more details and better interiors.
I ended up pre-ordering the Ominous Isle. I’ve been playing some Sea of Thieves lately with a few mates which has inspired me to get this set. I think the only downside to the BrickLink designer program is the long wait time before the sets are actually produced and shipped.
