I stand by my initial summation: the pitch session at LucasFilm lasted 10 seconds. They walked in and said, "it's like Goonies, but Star Wars Goonies".
You've got pirates, buried treasure, bad guys hunting you, adventure, and a bunch of kids having the time of their lives. Even if they almost get killed constantly (but that's the adventure, right?).
I am almost finished my build of this. I really enjoyed it actually! With young kids i think they will love the play-ability of it, whilst I was pretty impressed with the various techniques to get it the odd shape the ship is.... was enjoyable to build somethign that wasnt a standard ship with wings.
I watching a episode where ship is covered in armour plating and ejects the ship to a smaller ship . Wonder if lego has an instruction pdf for that one too on there website.
I had to watch both eps to be sure I would invest time but yeah, I also enjoyed it. A good mystery brewing and the plot has some longevity built into it!
Hasn’t persuaded me to buy the ship yet haha (Christmas sets took priority!)

Finished it the other day, and I have to say pretty happy with the ending!
Without giving anything away, it was a fun ride throughout the Star Wars universe and added a few new interesting touches.
