What’s up, y’all! I just ordered a bunch of new pieces from Lego’s pick a brick option to try out editing and customizing my Bonsai Tree. I wanted to make a fall theme, so I ordered some orange, light orange, and yellow leaves, changed out my round 1x1s in the bottom, and got new branches. The pieces will be here soon, so I’ll be sure to post pictures when it all comes in and I get it set up! I’m really excited as this is my first time trying to do any custom Lego changes.

love this, and the bonsai has some nifty conversions in the back I'm keen to try as well - a few even suit Star Wars alien planet dioramas

Pieces finally came in! I got to update it this morning.
I'm very happy with this. I love the way the orange and yellow play off each other. Sorting out the pink and green 1x1 rounds from the bottom was a pain, but replacing them with orange and yellow along with the existing brown and tan makes a huge difference as well.
My favorite touch has to be the fallen leaves on the stand and base. I added some 1x1s to attach the leaves to, and I think it really enhances the autumn feel of it all!
All in all, couldn't be happier with how this turned out. Definitely worth the $20 USD for the pieces (that includes the $7 picking fee for pick-a-brick, of course).
