Rumours are circulating that LEGO's next flagship set for the Star Wars theme will be a new and updated version of the Death Star, and this model will be even bigger than its past counterparts! If the rumours are true, this $1000 USD (or about $1600 AUD) set will be the most expensive LEGO set ever released.
All known information is listed below:
LEGO 75419 Star Wars : Ultimate Collector's Series Death Star
Price: $1600 in Australia, $1000 in the US.
Release date: October 2025.
Piece count: Unconfirmed. Writer's estimate is that the piece count will be between 7000 - 9000 pieces.
Further information: At this time, no credible source has provided information on the interior or exterior design of the Death Star. It's unclear whether it will have a displayable exterior, playable interior, or whether it will be based off of the first or second Death Star. For the price tag, our hope is that the Death Star has a fully-displayable exterior with removable panels, in addition to a detailed interior with numerous minifigures.
It's possible there will be an early announcement on May 4th for Star Wars Day, however, historically LEGO has saved announcements for its flagship Star Wars UCS sets until just weeks prior to release. We'll post an updated article when more information is revealed.
So excited to see it, even if I’m not buying it!
The real question to ask is, can you shoot the xwing torpedo into a vent to hit a reactor???
