If you missed out on the previous BrickLink Designer Program (BDP) set that you were waiting for, then remember to login early for this next release; starting June 6th, 1am Australian Eastern Standard time (8am Pacific time).
The 5 sets looking to be crowdfunded are:
Logging Railway, by ties25, AU $299.99

The Ocean House, by Hanwas, AU $279.99
Mushroom House, by JonasKramm, AU $124.99
Brick Cross Train Station, by brickester, AU $409.99
Ominous Isle, by jazlecraz, AU $339.99

These were all worthy, in my humble opinion, to be the 5 selected for this opportunity, and I was really looking forward to grabbing the ‘Mushroom House’ for my collection, but although it’s the cheapest set on offer by a long way, I guess I was dreaming that it might not crack the $100 mark.

The series 1 crowdfunding saw all 5 sets being funded, with 3 sold out… one of which possibly sold out before you finished eating your breakfast… so I wouldn’t hesitate for too long if there is a set you are wanting.
Follow the below link to view these sets in more detail:

For those who don’t know what the BrickLink Designer Program is all about, it is an opportunity for LEGO fans to design their own sets and submit them into the BDP giving
them the chance to have their build made into an actual limited edition set by the LEGO Group. It has been quite popular as many of the designs are often more complicated/advanced than regular LEGO sets, something many adult LEGO fans enjoy building.
In other BDP news… Series 5 will also be open for voting for your favourite builds from June 3 until June 14.
Having just noticed the upcoming voting myself, I realised I hadn’t written any article about the finalists of series 4.

Series 4 has the following sets available for crowdfunding in February 2025:
Merchant Boat, by NicolasCarlier
Wild West Train, by llucky
The Riverside Scholars, by Hanwas
Siege Encampment, by SleeplessNight
Medieval Seaside Market, by Bricks_fan_uy

You may notice that all designers, except the last, have had other builds featured in the final 5 of previous BDP series. With repeat ‘winners’, LEGO will surely be looking at bringing these designers into their team… or we will be seeing much more of their designs through the BDP in the future due to their skill and popular designs. LEGO would also be noticing the styles or themes that are reoccurring (such as the popular medieval or train themed designs) and should be thinking about bringing these into the regular LEGO sets again so that more people have the chance to get their hands on them.

BrickLink have also had a mini-build competition, where people could submit tiny versions of a BDP series 1 finalist!
Submissions of your Series 2 mini-builds are just finishing too, so keep an eye out for the Series 3 mini-build competition.
The design requirements for the series 2 mini-build competition are:
10 to 300 total parts
Two dimensions (Length x Width x Height) should be 8 studs/bricks or less
Bonus, but not required: Use the BDP Series 5 Palette
