Recently the next 5 designs for crowdfunding were chosen, with some familiar designers making the finalist list yet again.
Did you pre-order the ‘Camping Adventure’ set by ‘KingCreations’? If so, then you’ll want to be getting your hands on their new design titled ‘Off-road Adventure’ so you can have a 4x4 to pull the camper. This stand alone scene is a more remote setting, with detail packed into the small area. I think this is a neat set, especially if its a scene you could imagine yourself in like I do.

‘Brickester’ was another finalist, this time with ‘The Art Factory’, a folding-design modular type build with a working elevator. This will be right at home in your LEGO city, whether in its folded position or open at the rear, it looks like that is the way its supposed to be, making it well designed.

‘Gold Mine Expedition’ is the next in line, a four-storey build with the mine at the base and storage in the roof. Various rooms make up the middle levels including a gold bar casting room, a post office, kitchen, safe, and dormitory. The mill turns to crush rocks, and there is a working winch as well as a secret hideout. ‘Brickproject’ is the designer for this one.

‘Outlaw Forest Den’ by ‘BrickHammer’ is the medieval-themed finalist this series. It is a stone tower situated above a cave with a portcullis at its entry. With trapdoors, carriage with hidden compartments, and the rear which can be opened to access the interior, this set is sure to be fun for the kid in you. It would pair nicely with a castle as the outlaws are enemies of the royalty and their knights.

‘Sequoia Tree Trail’ is the final finalist, designed by ‘Piece_On_Earth’ it features a cabin-like visitor centre in amongst the largest trees on earth. There are two larger trees, and a handful of other smaller trees making up the forest scene; there are also birds, slugs, frogs and squirrels that make up the native fauna. There are 9 minifigures and a dog that can explore the area, walk through a hollow log, and examine the trees rings of a slice of tree trunk.

Overall the designs that keep coming each wave include some new ideas, with the occasional companion sets from previous finalists. Each finalist set this round is well designed, and although I could potentially be critical on some parts of the design, I couldn’t do any better so I shall leave the critique to you as you examine the final builds for yourself and decide whether you would like to pre-order them once that time arrives (series 6 crowdfunding will be in October 2025).
Also worth noting is that the building instructions for the series 2 finalists are now available as well! (https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-2/main.page)
