For the first time in LEGO Star Wars history, a gigantic display built by LEGO Certified Professional Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught will be coming to the Melbourne Museum. Built from 8 million pieces across three years, the exhibit will feature life-size models of popular characters from the franchise built from LEGO bricks, as well as huge ship models and landscapes from different planets in the Star Wars franchise.
Life-size replicas of Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul will be on display at the exhibit. Image source: The Exhibition official website.
Some of the confirmed displays include life-size models of Qui-Gon Jinn vs Darth Maul, life-size models of Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader, a giant AT-AT model, a giant Anakin Skywalker's Podracer model and a 64,759-pieces X-Wing Starfighter model! The exhibit is endorsed by LEGO, Disney and Lucasfilm, and is being advertised as their biggest LEGO Star Wars display ever.
There will be an interaction zone in the exhibit with millions of LEGO bricks available for the general public to build with, and it's open to builders of all ages. Some fans may speculate on the possibility of a promotional set or polybag being available at the museum, however there is no confirmation of any promotional items at this time.
The exhibit opens on the 4th of May (Star Wars Day) at the Melbourne Museum and tickets are required. You can join the waitlist for tickets here on the official Melbourne Museum website. For more LEGO Star Wars news, keep an eye on the Brick News website!
May have to book a family getaway to Melbourne ;)
Looks absolutely amazing! If I didn’t live overseas, I’d be attending this convention 101%!
