Newest Star Wars Leaks - Captain Vaughn and Yavin IV

The newest batch of leaks to come out regarding the upcoming sets in Star Wars have dropped and the images look great! These images cover the new 332nd Swamp Speeder, Yoda's Starfighter and the much anticipated Yavin IV set.

Starting with the heavy hitter, we have the newest Clone Trooper battle-pack set, number 75339, Ahsoka's Clone Troopers. This set appears to be LEGO continuing to produce packs that are targeted at army builders, with the inclusion of Captain Vaughn, the newest clone captain / commander to make it into minifigure form. Will this be the next Captain Rex? We will have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, LEGO still has refused to fix the new helmet holes which may turn off the old-school clone minifigure purists, as well as a price tag that may leave people wanting a 5th figure but altogether, the set looks good and has a decent selection of minifigs for the army builder or Clone Wars MOC builder.

Set photos in this article were revealed through a leaked instruction booklet.

Coming up next is the much requested Yavin IV playset, with an incredible lineup of minifigs. As well as the heroes of the battle of Endor, we are given the likes of General Dodonna, Garven Dreis, Jon Vander and a few generic rebel minifigs. The inclusion of a Y-Wing midi-fighter too will be a welcome addition to any other Yavin IV MOC's made in a similar scale. Hopefully, LEGO decides to give this set the love and attention it deserves and includes many printed pieces and play features that will make this much-anticipated set stand out against the competition out there in terms of publicly available MOCs.

Finally, we have set 75360, a remake of Yoda's Starfighter (75168). Overall, this isn't anything we haven't seen before. The heavily modified Jedi ETA-2 Actis light interceptor serves as our little green friend's way around the galaxy, including those awe-inspiring scenes in Season 6 of the Clone Wars. Minifigs and ship design appear to be quite similar to its predecessor but new lego sets with dark green pieces and a Yoda minifig are always welcome!

Overall, LEGO seems to be splitting the attention between the prequels and OT quite well, and listening to the fan's desire for a Yavin IV set, even if it is a playset. It will be interesting to see how these sets go on release, and into retirement.
